The parish of Our Lady of Lourdes is based in Sawston, just south of Cambridge,
England.
This parish has been an active centre of Catholicism in this region for
a very long time. Sawston Hall was for many centuries the focal point of
Catholic activity and remained steadfast during the troubled times of the
Counter-Reformation.
The present church is nearly 50 years old and has had four resident parish
priests. Now we want to build a new church. Read about it by clicking on
the New Church
Fund section.
You can read more about this and related topics by clicking on the History
section.
We have recently said goodbye to our last parish priest Father David
Hennessy who has been relocated to Felixstowe. Father Raf Esteban is our
new parish administrator, based out of Our Lady and English Martyrs in Cambridge.
