Their telephone number is 01223 224850 and their email address is pastoral@olem.org.uk

OLOL Hall Bookings
Our refurbished Church Hall can be rented out for a range of events; from one-off celebrations e.g. Baptisms to weekly bookings e.g. Slimming World. Please contact Martin Deane (OLOL Hall Secretary) for information concerning any bookings by email: martin.deane@gmail.com. Please note all bookings will be subject to the approval of the SPC.

Baptism
These can be arranged to take place at OLOL.
Please contact the OLEM Pastoral Assistants to book a date and time. If it is your first child to be baptised, you are normally required to attend a preparation course. You may purchase a Baptism booklet for further information. There is no charge for Baptism, but your donation to the Church is appreciated.

First Confession/First Holy Communion
See Children page.

Confirmation
Our Confirmation programme for Catholic teenagers is run by OLEM. Please check our Diary and Notices page for further information.

Extra times for Confession around Christmas & Easter will be published on the Diary and Notices page.

Marriage
These can also take place at OLOL. Please contact the OLEM Pastoral Assistants to book a date and time at least six months before the date marriage. It is advisable to book the church before any arrangements are made. Couples will have to attend a course of instructions given by one of the priests with assistance from Marriage Care (0800 389 3801). There is no charge for the Sacrament of Marriage, but your donation to the Church is appreciated.

Sacrament for the Sick
OLEM clergy are available for a visit or administering the sacraments for the sick at hospitals, nursing homes, etc. Chaplains are no longer able to access computerised hospital lists to find the names of Catholics who have been admitted. If you are aware of anyone who is Catholic being admitted to Addenbrookes Hospital who would like to see a chaplain or receive one of the sacraments, please inform the Chaplaincy (01223 217769) email: chaplaincy@addenbrookes.nhs.uk

It is important to check with the ward clerk that the patient is registered as a Catholic and that the patient has ticked the box giving their permission for a member of the chaplaincy team to visit. It is not sufficient to just put your  denomination on the hospital form. Website:  www.cuh.org.uk/cuh/services/non_clin/chaplaincy/catholic_practices.html

Funerals
OLOL can hold funerals so please ask your funeral directors to contact the OLEM Pastoral Assistants as soon as possible. If you wish to invite a specific priest to officiate, please make sure that you contact him personally before any arrangements are made.

Mass Offerings
If you wish to have a Mass offered for your intention, please contact the OLEM Pastoral Assistants. Please book well in advance if you wish to have it on a specific day/time as Mass offerings often get filled quickly. While we do our best to accommodate the Masses you request on the day and at the time specified it is not always possible especially on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation when the Parish Priest is obliged to offer one Mass “For the People of the Parish”. Cash or cheque offerings should be paid to Our Lady and the English Martyrs rather than to individual priests.

Donations
As a registered charity, we highly appreciate your generosity to help with the church expenses as well as charitable works. There is a very flexible scheme which facilitates your donations to the Church, especially if you are a tax-payer including Direct Debit which can be Gift Aided . If you wish to donate by cheque, please make it payable to Our Lady and the English Martyrs.

Vocations
Are you interested in discovering more about vocations to the Priesthood or religious life?
